Mac Miller's Faces

Okay so I know this is totally not rock related, but I couldn't NOT write about it!! It's recently been announced that Mac Miller's unreleased Faces album will be put onto streaming platforms October 15th, 2021! For the longest time I've been listening to this album with poor quality on SoundCloud, and I'm so excited for more people to be able to access it! Mac Miller has had a huge impact on me, and this album is so poetic and vulnerable. Mac talks a lot about his struggles in this album, and they're struggles I'm sure many can relate to.
Mac Miller's Faces is orginally from 2014, in the height of his battle with addiction. This album is full of raw emotion, and honestly you can hear the pain in his voice. Colors and Shapes, a single from Faces was put onto streaming platforms like Spotify on September 15th, foreshadowing the release of the whole album. A music video to accompony Colors and Shapes was also put on YouTube the same day. The video has tons of easter eggs from Mac's previous videos, as well as his life in general, which I found super interesting. Anywho, I'm very excited for the world to be able to know about this album! He was beyond talented and deserves to be heard across the globe.

  1. I am SOOO excited, I will be counting down the days. I have always been a crazy Mac Miller fan, I actually had tickets to go see him perform Swimming in Colorado, but then ya know he sadly passed away. What is your favorite album by Mac Miller? Mines either GO:OD AM or Swimming.

  2. Definitely not complaining you added this and it's not rock, I too am very excited for this. Mac Miller's legacy is living on! A cool fun fact about me is I actually was lucky enough to meet Mac before he passed. My favorite song ever to exist is "Senior Skip Day" off his KIDS album. Mac was such a special artist, the way he transformed his Music over the course of his career was truly impressive, he almost had his own genre in my opinion.
