Guys, I'm Obsessed with Amy Winehouse
I've always loved Amy Winehouse, but recently I've been listening to her album Back to Black on REPEAT. Back when I used to take vocal lessons, I sang Amy Winehouse a lot. I always grew up around her music because of my mom, but now that I'm older, I can relate to her music a lot more than I used to. This album shows much of how her mind works, and what emotions she was feeling at the time.
My favorite song on the album would probably have to be the original demo version of "Love Is A Losing Game." The raw emotion of this song is incredibly beautiful. Amy's life was so full of love and light yet so full of tragedy. My heart hurts for her story, and I wish she were still alive today to see how many people still adore her and her artistry.
If you haven't given Miss Amy Winehouse a listen yet, go do it! I promise you won't regret it.
Isn't it just the best when you find that one album and love it so much you can not stop listening to it?! Like no matter how many times you listen to it back to back you just never seem to get sick of it. You can really tell from reading this blog that you are very passionate about the subject which is important and makes it a great read! I can not say personally that I have ever listened to Amy Winehouse, but I have heard the name before. After reading this I will definitely check her out, since I am really a big fan of all kinds of music! Hopefully I end up loving her music just as much as you do!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite song she's ever realized is "Valaire" I haven't explored all her music but I watched a documentary about her life and it was very touching. Her voice is so unique and you can feel many emotions when she sings. I think she was an amazing artist, it's a tragedy to see her tragically pass away a such a young age.
