Celebrating 50 years of Led Zeppelin IV!
On November 8th, Led Zeppelin's fourth untitled studio album commonly known as Led Zeppelin IV, celebrated its 50th anniversary. This album was produced by the band's guitarist Jimmy Page. This album also includes the band's signature song "Stairway to Heaven."
Led Zeppelin put a different spin on this album compared to their previous works, as many of their early albums recieved mixed reviews from music critics. Led Zeppelin IV was their best selling album, selling over 37 million copies worldwide.
Led Zeppelin IV was released on vinyl in 1971 with absolutley no writing on the record sleeve, with 4 symbols to represent each of the band members, something much different than they were doing before.
Many folks around the globe celebrated the anniversary of this album, which is one of the top-selling albums in the United States. Billboards and digital displays could be seen plastered with Zeppelin appreciation is many different countries.
I think that it's really neat to see a band that was so influential on the music community still being celebrated (internationally, for that matter) all these years later. This album was a crucial point in music history, and deserves to be recognized!
